With over 100 years of combined experience among our craftspeople, and with 3D printing now part of how we model designs before a drop of metal is poured, we've found that tradition and technology aren't in competition — they make each other better.

Every piece of jewelry begins with an idea. A vision of elegance, individuality, or meaning that sets the tone for everything that follows.

Material selection: choosing the right gold

Whether yellow, white, or rose gold, the choice of material plays a fundamental role in the final piece. The color and karat of the gold must align with the vision for the design — reflecting the wearer's style, lifestyle, and preferences.

A piece meant for daily wear calls for different choices than one saved for occasions. We talk through these decisions with every customer before any work begins.

3D modeling and printing the wax

This is where technology earns its place in the process.

Using advanced CAD software, we create a precise digital blueprint of the design. That blueprint is used to 3D print a wax model — a physical prototype in the exact dimensions and proportions of the finished piece. The customer can see it, hold it, and approve it before any metal is cast.

This approach allows for intricate details and precise measurements that would be difficult or impossible to achieve through wax carving alone. It catches problems early, when they're easy to fix, rather than after casting, when they're expensive and time-consuming.

Casting and crafting: the handmade touch

The approved wax model goes into casting — the process of investing it in plaster, burning out the wax, and pouring molten metal into the cavity it leaves behind. The result is a raw casting in your chosen metal.

From there, the piece moves into the most skill-dependent stage of the process: the hands of our artisans.

With a legacy of craftsmanship spanning generations, they shape, file, and polish each piece with the kind of attention that can't be programmed. They know how metal behaves under specific tools, how a surface should feel before it's ready for its final polish, and when a stone seat is right versus when it needs another pass.

The result captures the finest details of the original design while carrying the marks — invisible but present — of the hands that finished it.

Finishing: refining the beauty

Once crafted, the piece undergoes careful finishing. Skilled artisans enhance its shine, smooth any imperfections, and bring the surface to its intended state — whether high polish, matte, brushed, or some combination.

This stage is where a piece stops being a casting and becomes jewelry.
